UP Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana is a Uttar Pradesh government scheme that helps farmers install solar-powered electric fencing to protect crops from stray cattle, nilgai, wild boars, and similar animals.Objective The harm to crops in the field by the animals has been a recurring problem in Uttar Pradesh. Keeping it in the perspective, this scheme was announced around July 2023 and aims to reduce crop losses caused by animals. It promotes solar electric fencing that runs on renewable energy. A low-voltage (around 12-volt) current flows through the wires. - After approval, purchase and install fencing through approved vendors.
- Subsidy is released after verification of installation (DBT).
