Lucknow: The delay in the release of the UGC NET June 2026 result and final answer key has left thousands of candidates waiting for clarity from the National Testing Agency (NTA).Aspirants said the uncertainty surrounding the evaluation process is affecting their academic plans and career decisions.“Every day we check the NTA website hoping for an update. The delay has affected my PhD admission plans, and I do not know when I can move ahead,” said Manisha Pandey, a UGC NET English candidate.Adarsh Sisodiya, who appeared for UGC NET Political Science, said he had cleared other academic requirements, but the pending result had put his future plans on hold. “It is difficult to make decisions without a confirmed timeline,” he said.For some candidates, the delay has also created financial concerns.“I have already spent money on applications for different universities and entrance processes. Without the NET result, it is difficult to decide where to invest my time and resources,” said Shruti Shukla, a UGC NET Mass Communication and Journalism candidate.Another UGC NET History candidate, Rohit Mishra, said he was preparing for PhD interviews and teaching opportunities, but the absence of the scorecard made it difficult to establish his eligibility. He added that the delay was increasing stress among students who depended on the result for research opportunities and teaching careers.“Many of us have let go of other opportunities because we expected the result on time. Now, we are unsure whether to wait or explore other options,” said Priya Yadav, a UGC NET Anthropology candidate.
