Chennai: Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin on Tuesday instructed his party MLAs to be armed with a list of issues faced by the people that need to be raised at the upcoming assembly session, set to commence from Aug 5.Udhayanidhi Stalin hosted a virtual meeting for party MLAs to discuss preparations for the assembly session and asked them to be ready with specific details of all the issues affecting people.“The MLAs were asked to be ready with issues confronting the people in their constituencies as well as statewide issues. Udhayanidhi said all the charges to be levelled against the govt should be backed by facts,’’ said a DMK leader.Senior leaders would raise issues such as Mekedatu, NEET, and law-and-order problems. Udhayanidhi also asked the MLAs to prepare the questions related to the civic issues in their constituencies.The leader of Opposition had also said that if MLAs need assistance with data, they can seek PEN’s help. “Udhayanidhi informed MLAs that if they need any assistance regarding facts of any issue or the content to be raised in the assembly, they can contact the party leadership or PEN,” sources said.
