Udhay, Kanimozhi condemn TVK govt for trying to arrest DMK youth cadreTNNChennai: Leader of opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin and DMK MP Kanimozhi on Wednesday condemned the alleged attempt by police to arrest DMK Gen Z coordinator Anbananthan Ariyappan after entering his house in Rayakottai, Krishnagiri, at midnight.In a post on X, Udhayanidhi alleged that the TVK govt was using the police to intimidate DMK’s youth functionaries. Referring to the recent assault on a youth named Kani by TVK cadres in Saidapet, he alleged that no action was taken against those responsible and warned that the DMK would not remain a silent spectator if its cadres were targeted through police action.In a separate post, Kanimozhi termed the police action condemnable and said the govt cannot suppress young people who questioned it. She warned that Tamil Nadu’s youth would soon give a fitting response to attempts to silence dissent.Ends
