Varanasi: Two criminals were nabbed after an encounter with police near Undi village in Shivpur police station area of Varanasi on Friday.According to reports, Varanasi SOG in charge Gaurav Kumar Singh, along with his team and a team of Shivpur police, laid siege on receiving information about the arrival of criminals.The criminals fired at the police team on being asked to stop. In the retaliatory firing, notorious criminal Vishal was hit by a bullet in the leg, and his companion Rohit, who was fleeing from the spot, was also chased down and caught by the SOG personnel.More than a dozen cases are registered against Vishal, who carried out theft of crores at the GST officer’s place in Shivpur police station area in the past few days.
