Two die in separate road accidents in city

Gurgaon: A 41-year-old man, Dilraj Singh, died after an auto-rickshaw hit him on Bhangrola Road near Banskushla in the IMT Manesar area on Sunday.According to a complaint filed by his son, Ayush Singh, the family had gone to the market. Dilraj was standing at the roadside when an auto-rickshaw coming from Sector 8 IMT side allegedly hit him head-on.The impact caused Dilraj to fall on the road. He sustained multiple injuries. The auto driver left the vehicle on the spot and fled, the complaint stated.Family members arranged an ambulance and took Dilraj to Silver Streak Hospital in Sector 87, where doctors declared him dead.Police have seized the auto-rickshaw and identified the accused driver as Bijender. A case has been registered under sections 281 and 106 of the BNS at Sector 7 IMT Manesar police station.In an earlier incident, a man died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on Gurgaon-Delhi Expressway (NH-48) near Force Motors around 2 am on Aug 21.According to police, the man, Ram Ujagar, a resident of Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, was hit by a vehicle being driven at a high speed. He was taken to Civil Hospital, Sector 10, where he was declared dead.A case has been registered under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of BNS. Police are yet to trace the vehicle.
