Pune: Deccan Gymkhana police on Wednesday arrested two owners of a cafe in the Deccan area on the charge of destroying evidence following an attack on a social media influencer by another woman influencer and her accomplices on Aug 15. The duo allegedly washed bloodstains from the floor after the incident, police said.A social media influencer and her 10 accomplices allegedly assaulted another social media influencer with sharp weapons at a cafe in Deccan in the early hours of Aug 15. Deccan Gymkhana police have arrested a 23-year-old social media influencer, her female accomplice and five male accomplices, and detained a minor in connection with the incident. The 19-year-old victim sustained injuries to his head and lodged a complaint with the police.Police investigations revealed that the cafe owners had washed away the bloodstains from the floor after the incident. “They tried to portray the incident as a minor altercation at their cafe. We have arrested them for destroying evidence,” an officer from Deccan Gymkhana police said.
