Bhilwara: Two minor boys drowned in a water-filled mine near Kunwada Khan under Subhash Nagar police station area of Bhilwara city Sunday after venturing into deep water.The deceased have been identified as Abbas (12) and Altamas (14), both residents of Kunwada Khan areaStation in-charge Kailash Kumar Bishnoi said both the boys had gone to bathe in the abandoned mine around 3 pm. Later, locals noticed the boys’ slippers and clothes lying near the site and called out to them. When there was no response, they informed the police.Bishnoi said that a rescue operation was carried out with the help of local residents and divers, and both bodies were recovered by evening.The bodies were kept at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital mortuary. Police said the families refused post-mortem, following which the bodies were handed over after completing formalities.
