Agartala: Tripura chief minister Manik Saha said key documents linked to old murder cases from the Left Front tenure may have gone missing, raising concerns over the status of evidence and stalled investigations.Saha’s remarks came amid criticism of opposition parties, particularly the Left Front and Congress, who he accused of seeking public sympathy by questioning law and order under the present govt while ignoring violence during their own rule.Saha cited Tripura’s history of murder and political violence and asked whether the opposition can distance itself from serious criminal cases recorded during its governance.The issue is sensitive as two journalist murders ahead of the 2018 assembly elections remain under scrutiny.
