Chennai: Tambaram city police announced traffic diversions for heavy vehicles on April 26 and 27 in Tambaram limits to manage increased vehicular movement as voters return to the city after casting their votes in the assembly elections.According to the traffic plan, heavy vehicles travelling from Chengalpet towards Chennai will be diverted via Kancheepuram Road, Walajabad, Kancheepuram and Sriperumbudur before merging with the Bengaluru National Highway. Vehicles coming from Singaperumal Koil will be redirected through Oragadam and Sriperumbudur.Motorists travelling from Puducherry, Cuddalore and Nagapattinam were advised to use the East Coast Road and Old Mahabalipuram Road to avoid congestion on the main highways.
