Three Linked to Harry Boxer Gang Arrested for Extortion, Murder Conspiracy

New Delhi: Three alleged shooters linked to Harry Boxer gang have been arrested for allegedly plotting extortion and targeted killings of businessmen across Delhi-NCR. Investigators said the gang had demanded up to Rs 5 crore from some businessmen and had surveyed several jewellers in Karol Bagh.The accused, identified as Shiv Govind (19), Abhinav (23) and Vivek (22), were allegedly issuing extortion threats from foreign numbers and conducting reconnaissance of the homes and businesses of potential targets. Abhinav was previously involved in the 2024 murder of gym owner Nadir Shah and was released from jail in May this year.According to the police, the case came to light when a businessman approached the north Rohini police station on March 8 and reported that he had been receiving repeated extortion calls and death threats demanding Rs 1 crore. The man told cops that the caller identified himself as Randeep Malik and claimed association with Harry Boxer gang. A case was registered.DCP (Rohini) Shashank Jaiswal said, “The businessman had also received a call along with photographs and videos of his residence on July 4, when the caller introduced himself as Harry Boxer and threatened to murder his family.”Police found that the accused had travelled to Delhi from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and stayed in different hotels. Cops seized three sophisticated illegal pistols, including one 9 mm pistol and one Beretta pistol, along with 26 live cartridges and one motorcycle. The weapons had been buried underground near the Sector-11/25 drain area in Rohini.
