Ghaziabad: Police registered an FIR against a man and two others after he allegedly created morphed videos and pictures of a 26-year-old woman and her sister using AI. The accused, Himanshu alias Lukka, has allegedly been harassing the woman for some time now.The complainant said that in April last year, she had gotten engaged. The accused contacted her to-be in-laws and cast false aspersions on her character, leading to them breaking off the engagement.The woman’s family tried to persuade Himanshu to stop harassing her as he was insisting that she get into a relationship with him, but he allegedly refused to stop. He then began creating morphed images and videos of her as well as her older sister, who is married, and sending them to both of them and her sister’s husband.He has also allegedly routinely defamed her on social media platforms such as Instagram by creating fake IDs and posting obscene comments and posts on various such profiles. The harassment has persisted for over a year despite the woman and her family’s attempts to dissuade him.DCP (city) Dhawal Jaiswal said they have filed an FIR against Himanshu and two of his associates – Manohar and Sonu, a father-son duo – under BNS sections (stalking), 351(3) (criminal intimidation), 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of BNS and relevant sections of the IT Act at Crossings Republik police station.“The accused’s location was traced to Punjab and teams have been formed to nab them,” the DCP added.
