When he touched the tap, he got a shock and remained stuck.A large crowd gathered and cops from the chowki arrived upon hearing the commotion. Chowki in-charge sub-inspector Brijpal Singh, along with his team, first tried to rescue the boy using a rope. When that did not work, they used a dry towel to pull him free. Cops administered CPR on the spot and later rushed him to a nearby hospital.Sharma recovered after treatment and his family was called to the hospital. He is in a stable condition. Sharma told the cops he had no idea the tap was exposed to a live current. “For a moment, I felt like I wouldn’t survive. The police saved my life, and I’m deeply grateful to them,” he said.
