Telangana to release Rs 5,650 cr Rythu Bharosa aid for 45L farmers on April 20

Hyderabad: The Telangana govt will release the second instalment of Rythu Bharosa, the farm investment support scheme, on April 20. According to officials, chief minister A Revanth Reddy will release the funds at a public meeting in Kataram in Bhupalpally district. In the second instalment, 45,11,947 farmers will receive Rythu Bharosa assistance, with Rs 5,653 crore to be deposited into their accounts, according to the agriculture department. The first instalment was released on March 23, when all eligible farmers were given investment support equivalent to one acre each. Around Rs 3,590 crore was credited to their accounts. Officials said arrangements are also being made to release the third instalment at the earliest after completion of the second phase. Under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, the govt is providing assistance for 1.50 crore acres across the state by depositing Rs 6,000 per acre directly into farmers’ bank accounts. Telangana has around 73 lakh farmers.
