The contingent also included BJP state president Kaling Moyong, Assam cabinet minister Ashok Singhal, Itanagar Municipal Corporation mayor Likha Nari, and numerous MLAs and party workers.Tagak is a veteran leader with roots in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He served as the state BJP president from 2013 to 2015 and has been an advisor to the CM. He currently serves as the patron of the Arunachal Shiksha Vikas Samiti, the state unit of Vidya Bharati.Given that the ruling BJP holds an overwhelming majority in the 60-member assembly, Tagak’s victory is considered a foregone conclusion.
