Sundaram Home Finance Q1 FY27 net profit up 37%

Chennai: Sundaram Home Finance, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sundaram Finance, on Thursday posted a 37% increase in net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, at Rs 85 crore against Rs 62 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.Disbursements for Q1 FY27 went up 12% to Rs 1,665 crore as compared to Rs 1,488 crore during the year ago quarter, the company said in a statement. Assets under Management (AUM) stood at Rs 20,325 crore as on June 30, 2026. Disbursements in the Emerging Business (EB) segment comprising small ticket loans and affordable housing finance more than doubled in Q1 FY27 to Rs 180 crore from Rs 83 crore registered in the same quarter last year.“Our focus remains firmly on smaller towns where we see strong potential for the EB segment, particularly affordable housing finance in tier 3 and 4 towns. We will continue to expand our EB network with plans to open 25 more branches in the segment this year. We also expect our prime home finance segment to grow well this year, with continued focus on the mid segment of the market,” its D Lakshminarayanan,MD, said.Ends/YK
