Dhubri: Students and volunteers from across the northeast pledged to dedicate themselves to selfless service as the two-day Students For Seva (SFS) Northeast Zonal Workshop concluded in Dhubri on Saturday night.The workshop brought together SFS workers and students to discuss social responsibility, youth participation and community initiatives.Addressing the concluding session, Northeast Zonal SFS convener Bibek Prasad urged students to channel their energy into meaningful social action.“The strength of our youth lies not only in their knowledge and talent, but also in their willingness to serve. Students must come forward to understand the problems of society and work together to bring positive change,” Prasad said.Padma Shri awardee Parbati Barua stressed the importance of compassion, dedication and responsibility among young people. She urged students to stay connected with communities and serve people without expecting personal gain.The inaugural programme was attended by Northeast Zonal Organisation secretary Kamal Nayan, SFS national in charge Bhawani Shankar, Bibek Prasad and Parbati Barua, among others.During the workshop, participants shared experiences, discussed social issues and explored ways to strengthen student involvement in community initiatives.The workshop concluded with a collective resolve to take the message of selfless service across the Northeast and encourage greater youth participation in social and nation-building activities.
