Jaipur: Students, activists and members of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) Friday evening took out a torch march in Sikar to protest the alleged NEET paper leak and demand the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.The march, organised under the banner of the CJP, began from Piprali Circle and culminated at CLC Chowk, with protesters raising slogans against the Centre and seeking a fair probe into the alleged examination irregularities.The protest was led by CJP secretary Deepak Balyan, party leader Saurav Das, Sikar MP Amra Ram and representatives of student organisations.CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who was scheduled to address the rally, could not attend after remaining in Delhi to prepare for the party’s proposed Sansad March on July 20, organisers said.Addressing the gathering, the protesters alleged that irregularities in the NEET examination jeopardised the future of lakhs of students. They demanded a time-bound and impartial investigation into the paper leak, strict action against those responsible, and reforms to make the examination system more transparent.The demonstrators also sought the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, holding the Centre accountable for the alleged lapses.A large number of students and youth participated in the march, carrying torches and placards. Police personnel were deployed along the route to maintain law and order, and the protest concluded peacefully.
