10 structures were razed for the ROB project
Ahmedabad: AMC on Friday demolished illegal structures obstructing the piers and pile caps on both sides of the Asarwa railway overbridge (ROB). Around 10 illegal temporary and permanent encroachments, including extensions, huts and platforms (otlas) along this Town Planning (TP) road, were demolished. Approximately 200 sq m of encroachment was cleared. AMC closed the Asarwa bridge a year ago. A redevelopment project for this decades-old bridge is currently being executed. There were illegal structures where the bridge ramps descend.
