Chandigarh: Haryana BJP president Dr Archana Gupta on Saturday said strong mandal units and active booth teams were the backbone of the party organisation, calling for sustained public outreach and regular communication to strengthen the party at the grassroots.Addressing a meeting of mandal presidents and mandal in-charges from Hisar, Sirsa, Dabwali, Fatehabad, Bhiwani, Hansi and Charkhi Dadri districts at the BJP district office here, Gupta reviewed organisational activities and discussed preparations for upcoming programmes.“An active and strong organisation from mandal to booth level will enable the party to effectively take its ideology and the government’s welfare policies to the people,” Gupta said. She described the BJP’s dedicated cadre as its biggest strength and said booth-level workers were the crucial link between the organisation and the public. She asked mandal presidents and in-charges to maintain regular contact and coordination with booth workers and ensure that organisational programmes were used to expand public engagement rather than being treated as routine events.Gupta also sought details of organisational activities in the seven districts and interacted directly with mandal-level functionaries, issuing directions to strengthen coordination and ensure effective implementation of the party’s programmes. She discussed preparations for the upcoming Tiranga Yatra, mandal and “Tridev” meetings and booth-level meetings, stressing the need to maximise public participation and expand the organisation’s outreach among all sections of society.Gupta said the BJP was not an organisation that became active only during elections. Its workers remained connected with people throughout the year through service, contact and dialogue, a work culture that, she said, distinguished the party from others. She urged mandal functionaries to hold regular booth meetings, maintain continuous communication with workers and encourage greater participation of young people and new members in organisational activities. She said discipline, coordination and team spirit were essential to further strengthening the party organisation.State general secretary Ved Phoolan, state vice-president and Hisar district in-charge Jawahar Saini, Hisar district president Dr Asha Khedar, Hansi district president Ashok Saini, cabinet minister Ranbir Gangwa and other senior leaders and office-bearers from the seven districts attended the meeting.
