Noida: A high-voltage rescue operation ensued in Sector 63 after a 19-year-old woman climbed a mobile tower on Thursday morning after allegedly getting upset over an argument with her mother. Prompt action by the police and fire department ensured her safe rescue in an operation that lasted around 30 minutes.According to police, the young woman, a native of Maharajganj’s Chowk Bazaar, has been living in Chotpur Colony for the past three years. She was previously employed at a factory but recently quit her job. On Thursday morning, an argument with her mother reportedly led to her becoming distressed, following which she climbed a tower located in Block J of Sector 63.Upon receiving information, police and fire department teams rushed to the spot and immediately launched a rescue operation. Personnel from the fire department first tried to communicate with the woman to calm her down and persuade her to cooperate. Using a hydraulic platform, the team carefully brought her down to safety without any injuries.Officials stated that during initial questioning, the woman appeared to be under mental stress due to ongoing family issues. Her family members have been informed, and she is currently undergoing counselling.Chief fire officer Pradeep Chaubey said that the team prioritised communication to ensure the woman remained calm before initiating the rescue. “Our personnel first engaged in conversation with her and reassured her.
