Varanasi: To familiarise students, research scholars, faculty members and staff with new books on Hindi literature, knowledge systems and science, a special exhibition of Hindi books was organised at the Srinivas Deshpande Library of IIT-BHU as part of Hindi Month celebrations being held under the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, Govt of India.Deputy librarian Dr Naveen Kumar Upadhyay said around 400 new and important Hindi books have been displayed at the exhibition. The collection covers a wide range of subjects, including literature, culture, history, philosophy and society. Books honoured with the Jnanpith Award and Saraswati Samman have also been prominently featured.The main attraction of the exhibition is the Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Complete Works. All 12 volumes of the collection, compiled by the Mahamana Malaviya Mission, New Delhi, and published by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, have been put on display. The volumes present Mahamana’s life, thoughts, writings and his wide-ranging contribution to nation-building.
