Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday conducted an extensive inspection of the ongoing works at the Young India Integrated Residential School and the Education Hub at Hakimpet in the Kodangal assembly constituency. He expressed serious displeasure over the slow pace of construction and warned officials that stringent action would be taken against those found negligent.During his visit, the CM inspected the progress of the engineering college, hostels, veterinary college, govt medical college, nursing, physiotherapy and paramedical colleges being developed as part of the ambitious education hub. Dissatisfied with the pace of execution, he directed officials to accelerate all construction activities and ensure that the projects are completed within the stipulated timelines.Revanth announced that he would personally review the progress of the education hub every month and spend one full day at the site to monitor the works. He instructed officials to submit monthly progress reports on each project and warned that strict action would be taken against those found neglecting their responsibilities. The CM made it clear that he would not hesitate to suspend officials whose negligence delayed the projects.The CM also expressed anger over the delay in allotting plots to farmers who had surrendered their lands for the education hub. Officials were instructed to complete the process and hand over plot title deeds to all eligible beneficiaries by next week.Later, the CM chaired a comprehensive review meeting on developmental works in the Kodangal constituency at the Hakimpet education hub premises. MLAs T Rammohan Reddy and Manohar Reddy, senior officials from various departments, and district administration officials attended the meeting.During the review, officials briefed the CM on the progress of the Makthal–Narayanpet–Kodangal lift irrigation project. The CM directed the authorities to ensure there were no delays in the land acquisition process, assuring them that the govt was prepared to sanction the required funds and provide additional surveyors to expedite the work.“Complete the land acquisition at the earliest and immediately initiate the tender process. Timely execution of infrastructure and irrigation projects remains a top priority for the Congress govt,” CM Revanth said.He issued a series of directives to officials to accelerate the development of roads, civic infrastructure and drinking water facilities across the Kodangal constituency. “Every village and thanda (tribal hamlet) must have access to quality infrastructure and basic amenities without delay. The govt is committed to balanced rural development. Ensure that no thanda in the constituency remains without proper road connectivity. Every village should be linked to its respective mandal headquarters through Black Top (BT) roads, enabling better transportation and improved access to essential services,” Revanth said.Officials were instructed to complete the construction of Gram Panchayat buildings for all newly formed Gram Panchayats to strengthen local governance and improve the delivery of public services.In view of the anticipated impact of the El Niño phenomenon, Revanth instructed officials to prepare comprehensive contingency plans to ensure that there was no shortage of drinking water in any village. They were told to identify vulnerable areas, strengthen water supply systems and take preventive measures well in advance to safeguard residents during the coming months.
