Ahmedabad: The district education officer (DEO) has organised a special camp to facilitate corrections in students’ academic records ahead of the registration process for the 2027 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations conducted by GSHSEB.The camp will be held on Oct 16 from 10am to 2pm at St Xavier’s Loyola Hall in Naranpura. The facility will be available to students of primary, secondary and higher secondary schools across Ahmedabad’s eastern and western zones.According to officials, the initiative aims to ensure that discrepancies in students’ records, particularly their names, surnames and caste details, are corrected before the examination forms are submitted. Such errors frequently create difficulties for students and parents during the board examination process.Every year, a considerable number of students seek corrections in their academic records after the board examinations. In some cases, the process becomes complicated and may even lead to legal proceedings. The special camp has been organised to address these issues in advance and minimise the inconvenience faced by students and their parents. The DEO office hopes the initiative will streamline the correction process and help schools resolve documentation-related issues before the examination registration deadlines. By facilitating timely corrections, the department aims to prevent students from facing unnecessary hurdles while filling out their SSC and HSC examination forms.Officials and staff members from the DEO’s office, along with special educators associated with Inclusive Education of the Disabled at Secondary Stage (IEDSS) programme, have been directed to remain present at the camp to assist applicants.
