NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old boy was critically injured after being shot by unidentified assailants following an altercation at an eatery in Southeast Delhi’s Amar Colony area, according to news agency ANI. The incident took place after a PCR call was received at Amar Colony police station at around 7.54 pm. Preliminary inquiry revealed that the victim was sitting at an eatery with a girl when a group of boys passed by and one of them allegedly touched his chair. The victim objected, after which the group left the spot.The group returned about 4–5 minutes later, and one of them allegedly opened fire at the teenager before fleeing the scene. The injured boy was rushed to Moolchand Hospital and later referred to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is said to be critical but stable. No other injuries were reported. Police teams, along with senior officers, reached the spot soon after the incident. Crime teams inspected the area, while CCTV footage and technical surveillance are being examined to identify and trace the accused.
