‘Smashing women’s dignity’: AAP attacks Rahul Gandhi after Congress leader slaps, drags woman by hair in Telangana
Aam Aadmi Party has raised concerns over an alleged assault on a Dalit woman in Telangana

HYDERABAD: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday targeted Congress over an alleged assault on a Dalit woman by a Congress leader during a Gram Sabha in Telangana’s Nalgonda district.“Rahul Gandhi ji, What is happening in Congress-ruled Telangana? Your leaders are slapping women. THIS IS NOT SMASHING THE PATRIARCHY. THIS IS SMASHING WOMEN’S DIGNITY,” AAP said in a post on X.AAP alleged that Congress leader Amarnath Goud, from the Devarakonda constituency, slapped and dragged a Dalit woman by her hair during a Gram Sabha in Mallepalli village.According to the party, Goud got into a heated argument with VOA Madhavi over funds belonging to a women’s savings group before allegedly assaulting her in full public view.Calling the incident an instance of “political arrogance, abuse and humiliation”, AAP questioned Rahul Gandhi’s silence on the alleged assault.“As always, you are nowhere to be seen and completely silent on the issue. Absolutely pathetic,” the party said. The allegations could not be independently verified.
