Hyderabad: In what is its first deal after the success of Mission Aagaman, Skyroot Aerospace has signed a multi-launch agreement with Kerala-headquartered space technology company HEX20 for three dedicated Vikram-series missions beginning in the fourth quarter of 2027, the Hyderabad-based launch provider said on Monday.The launches will support HEX20’s Earth-observation constellation and in-orbit payload demonstration missions, while also offering rideshare capacity for third-party spacecraft. The agreement was signed by Naga Bharath Daka, co-founder and COO of Skyroot, and MB Aravind, co-founder and COO of HEX20.The deal follows Skyroot’s successful July 18, 2026, launch of Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed orbital-class rocket, which reached orbit on its maiden mission. Skyroot said the mission gave flight heritage to all major subsystems and supports its plan to scale launch operations to as many as 12 missions annually.Daka said the Vikram series is designed to provide reliable and responsive access to space for companies expanding satellite and Earth-observation capabilities. HEX20 CEO Amal Chandran said the partnership combines complementary capabilities across the mission lifecycle and will help create stronger pathways to orbit for customers in India and abroad.Skyroot is developing small-satellite launch vehicles with in-house propulsion, composite structures and rapid manufacturing systems at campuses in Hyderabad.
