New Delhi: Six people were injured after a car rammed into a roadside tree and divider near Malviya Nagar metro station in south Delhi late Tuesday night.The injured people have been identified as Sangam Vihar residents Sonu Kanojiya (21), Anish Kanojiya (26) and Prince Kumar (19), along with Chhavi Chopra (20) from Neb Sarai, Vicky Gupta (35) from Jawahar Park and Sonu (26) from Malviya Nagar. At least two of them — Chhavi and Vicky — sustained grievous injuries, police said.According to the police, information about the accident was received at Saket police station in the early hours of Wednesday. Cops rushed to the spot at Press Enclave Road where the car was found damaged after the collision. The crime team was summoned, and the spot was inspected and photographed.Simultaneously, information about the injured people was received from two different hospitals, each with three injured persons. Medical records revealed that they were involved in the road accident, which took place around 11.40 pm, police said.Police said that based on the PCR call, inspection of the scene and medical examination reports, a case has been registered under relevant sections of BNS at Saket police station, and investigation is under way to ascertain the exact sequence of events that led to the collision.
