Shimla: A 53-year-old man from Koti village in Shillai tehsil of Sirmaur district was found allegedly murdered near the Vishwakarma Chowk in Paonta Sahib in the wee hours of Tuesday.The police said the killer had slit Bhav Singh’s throat. The body was found at a newly constructed parking site.The victim was a vegetable and fruit wholesaler who travelled to Paonta Sahib every third day in his pickup vehicle to buy vegetables and fruits. Following the incident, the bereaved family members and locals staged a protest, demanding the immediate arrest of the killer.The victim’s post-mortem was conducted, and an FIR for murder was registered. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being examined to identify the accused, the police said.
