The SI recruitment-2021 exam was cancelled by Supreme Court over a large-scale paper leak and the re-exam was conducted on Sept 20. The protesters alleged that the General Knowledge and General Science paper held on Sept 20 was excessively difficult, lengthy and beyond the level and pattern indicated by the commission. They demanded an end to what they called “illogical” question papers and arbitrary examination practices.Vinod Chaudhary, a Sikar resident preparing for the SI exam since 2018, said, “Most of the candidates could not solve more than 20 questions. The paper did not follow RPSC’s previous pattern, and questions were asked beyond the syllabus.”Vijendra Sankhla of Jhotwara said his brother, who received an interview call in the 2025 examination, could barely solve 15 questions.The candidates demanded that RPSC conduct the examination afresh, fix standards beforehand and explain vacancies remaining unfilled in recent recruitments.
