Chandigarh: Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Uday Bhanu Chib on Monday appointed Shuvam Devgan as the new head of the Punjab Youth Congress (PYC). Devgan succeeded Mohit Mohindra, who was heading the PYC since Aug 2023.The IYC chief also appointed Gagandeep Singh as senior vice-president and Karanvir Singh Dhillon as vice-president of the PYC.“Indian Youth Congress is confident that they will devote their full time and energy to further strengthen the organisation as well as the Congress party under the able and dynamic leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi,” read the appointment order.In the results announced on June 22, Devgan secured 1,60,154 votes, edging past his nearest rival Gagandeep Singh (1,56,271 votes) by a margin of 3,883 votes.
