Shehnaaz Gill has been open about the fact that ambition, for her, doesn’t have a pause button. Even as she continues branching into new ventures, the actress admits that each success only fuels her appetite for more. She’s quick to clarify, though, that this isn’t about feeling unfulfilled, it’s simply her nature to keep raising the bar for herself.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shehnaaz said, “Achievements are never something that stop for me. I feel that as I keep getting more and more, my desire, will keep increasing. So I want to keep working and continue working. I don’t want to stop”.

The actress also touched on why hitting “satisfied” mode after reaching a goal isn’t something she’s interested in. To her, craving more is just part of being human, and that craving shouldn’t be a reason to stop going after fresh opportunities. “Why would I become satisfied just because I got one thing? No, I don’t want to be satisfied. And anyway, human beings are such a creature that if they get a little of something— They want a little more and a little more,” Gill told.
Shehnaaz Gill on ambition vs greed
Shehnaaz was also careful to distinguish between ambition and greed. Wanting to work harder and achieve more, in her view, doesn’t equate to being greedy, a word she feels comes loaded with negative connotations. “You can’t call it greed. You can say that I did something well and I want to work harder, I want to do more and I want more. I want to keep doing better. Greed is negative,” she stated.She also gave a glimpse into the sort of roles she’s eager to take on right now, apart from speaking about her ambition. Rather than tying herself down to a single genre or character mould, she’d rather keep experimenting and gravitate toward parts that create a lasting impression, however small the role might be. She went on to say, “I’m still very, very fresh. I feel I should try everything. I don’t have any particular preference. I want to do impactful roles in life. So whatever comes my way, I’ll listen to it. And if I understand that, yes, my character is taking the story forward— That the story will make people remember that I played this character, even if it was only for two minutes – I want to do that.” Shehnaaz concluded, “I think it’s still the beginning. So every character is welcome.”

On the work front, Shehnaaz Gill will feature in ‘Ranna Ch Dhanna’ opposite Diljeet Dosanjh, with the film being helmed by Amarjit Singh Saron.
