Kolkata: An 87-year-old man was cheated of Rs 40,000 in an ATM card-swapping fraud near Diamond City West in Bakultala. The victim was duped by a youth inside an ATM kiosk around 10 am on Oct 15. The youth allegedly told him to re-enter his PIN and, when the senior citizen was not looking, swapped his card.Soon after, when the victim tried to make another transaction, it failed. Within an hour, he received an SMS saying Rs 40,000 had been withdrawn from his account at another ATM near Behala Chowrasta.
