Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has introduced an online approval system for private schools seeking permission to start additional classes, sections, or sequential higher classes for the academic year beginning in June 2026.According to the board, schools can submit applications through the online portal from May 1 to July 15. Institutions planning to expand their academic offerings must complete the registration process on the board’s official website.After registration, schools will receive login credentials, including a user ID and password, on their registered email addresses to enable them to fill in the required application details.The board has fixed an application fee of Rs 15,000 per class, which must be paid during the submission process. Schools have also been advised to carefully read all instructions and guidelines available on the website before filing their applications.Officials said applications containing discrepancies, incomplete details, or errors in supporting documents will be rejected without prior notice. The board said the move is aimed at ensuring greater transparency and efficiency in granting approvals.
