Ahmedabad: Dealers in Ahmedabad district have scheduled deliveries of vehicles worth an estimated Rs 177 crore this rath yatra. Sale of cars and two-wheelers, besides electric vehicles are set to record double-digit growth over last year.Dealers expect to deliver around 7,200 two-wheelers, 31% more from 5,500 in 2025, while scheduled car deliveries are estimated at 1,450, up 38% from 1,050. EV deliveries are projected to record the sharpest growth, rising 58% to 950 units from 600, according to estimates by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA).FADA-Gujarat state chairperson Pranav Shah attributed the demand to improved consumer confidence, easier availability of vehicle finance at lower interest rates and increasing EV adoption.SUVs continue to dominate passenger vehicle demand, while automatic cars now account for nearly 30% of sales, up from about 20% earlier, FADA said.
