RRB Group D result 2026 delayed: Railway Ministry issues statement

The RRB Group D Result 2026 has been delayed due to an ongoing legal matter before the Telangana High Court, according to the Ministry of Railways. In an update shared through its official social media handles, the ministry said the recruitment result is currently on hold because the court is hearing a petition related to the weightage of marks awarded to Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAAs) in the final merit list. The case challenges the manner in which Act Apprentice marks are considered during the preparation of the final selection list. The outcome of the case could affect candidate rankings as well as zone-wise cut-off marks.Because of this, the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have suspended further processing of the result to avoid any administrative issues before the court’s decision. The Ministry of Railways said the matter is awaiting a verdict from the Telangana High Court and that a decision is expected soon. Once the judgment is delivered, the RRB Group D result will be prepared and released in accordance with the court’s directions. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 22,195 vacancies in Level 1 posts across Indian Railways. The vacancies include positions such as Track Maintainer, Pointsman and Assistant in various railway departments. The selection process consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification and a medical examination.Candidates are advised to keep checking the official RRB websites for updates on the court case and the announcement of the result.
