Panaji: RG’s disciplinary committee has issued a formal notice to former party treasurer Ajay Kholkar, directing him to appear before the committee as part of ongoing disciplinary proceedings. The notice was issued by the disciplinary committee late on Thursday.Given that the party’s central executive committee (CEC) had leveled allegations against 10 suspended members (Aditya Dessai, Premanand Havlu Gaude, Vishal Gauns Dessai, Prashant Suresh Pagi, Rahul Naik, Dagley Fernandes, Melvin Da Silva, Licio Roncon, Manilla Shirodkar and Sanjan Shriniwas Naik), the disciplinary committee has asked Kholkar to produce all the evidence he has against them. Before RG MLA Viresh Borkar took over control of the party, the CEC and party functionaries terminated the 10 members on June 16 over alleged anti-party activities and allegations of an attempt to split the party. The notice also warns that failure to appear or produce the requested documents without sufficient cause may result in the committee proceeding with the inquiry and drawing an adverse inference. The notice concludes by stating that the proceedings are being conducted independently and impartially to ensure a fair and transparent inquiry into the allegations.Kholkar has been asked to produce all records, documents, and data that are in his possession and that were used to justify the suspension of the 10 members.
