Hyderabad: Political heat in Telangana is set to escalate once again on Monday, as both chief minister Revanth Reddy and opposition leader K Chandrasekhar Rao, the former chief minister, are scheduled to attend separate public meetings on the same day, creating a buzz in the political arena.CM A Revanth Reddy will unveil the second instalment of financial assistance for farmers under the ‘Rythu Bharosa’ scheme at a public meeting in Nasturpalli, located in the Kataram mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. Accompanied by Agriculture minister Thummala Nageswara Rao and other officials, Revanth will remotely release the funds during the event.KCR rally in JagtialAt the same time, BRS chief KCR is gearing up for a public meeting in Jagtial, where former Congress leader Jeevan Reddy is expected to announce his joining the BRS. This marks KCR’s return to the public eye after nearly a year. Since the party’s defeat in the 2023 assembly elections, he has largely stayed out of the spotlight. His participation in the Jagtial meeting, following his appearance at the party’s silver jubilee event in Warangal on April 27 last year, is generating considerable interest in state politics.Adding to the intrigue, CM Revanth is also scheduled to visit the Medigadda barrage, part of the Kaleshwaram project, on the same day as KCR’s meeting. This has sparked speculation about whether he will target KCR or even Prime Minister Modi over the Delimitation Bill and the Women’s Reservation Bill.Furthermore, Revanth’s visit to Medigadda coinciding with KCR’s schedule has become a major talking point. It appears likely that the CM intends to highlight the issues at Medigadda and directly challenge the BRS and KCR. Recently, the govt decided to undertake repairs at Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla as part of the Kaleshwaram project. As part of this initiative, the CM, along with minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, will inspect Medigadda on Monday. Observers are keen to see how Revanth addresses the challenges at Kaleshwaram this time.
