Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy will soon tour parliamentary constituencies in the state to give business from govt side to members of self-help groups (SHGs).“Prepare and keep business plans ready by then. We will not only give you investment support but also business. There is no place for middlemen or commission agents in the Congress govt, and that the women will get business directly from govt,” Revanth said.However, he did not give details of what business would be given to the women. He also exuded confidence that the Congress govt-led by him would continue in the state up to 2034.The CM addressed a public meeting at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, after flagging off 553 buses amidst rain. Revanth travelled in one of the buses for 100 metres up to the public meeting venue. Revanth, minister Seethakka and others got drenched in the rain, and the CM termed the rain as a blessing by rain god to women development.CM vows govt supportThe CM also announced that the SHG women would be made owners of not just 1,000, but 3,000 buses, and that the state govt would facilitate them to lease these vehicles to TGSRTC and earn monthly income. He reiterated that the Congress govt would not rest until one crore women become crorepatis. CM Revanth Reddy called upon the SHG groups to create awareness among farmers about the need to take crop diversification to make agriculture more profitable. “Tell them the importance of cultivating pulses, vegetables and fruits that can be exported. Govt will extend all technical, transportation and financial support to SHG women to go to Rythu Vedikas and also convene farmers’ meetings in villages to create awareness about crop diversification, as the new crop season is starting with rains hitting the state,” CM Revanth said.
