Rajasthan University releases first cut-off list for UG admissions
Students shortlisted in the first merit list can get their documents verified between June 30 and July 2

Jaipur: Constituent colleges of Rajasthan University (RU) Monday released the first merit list for admission to undergraduate courses for the 2026-27 academic session.Students shortlisted in the first merit list can get their documents verified between June 30 and July 2. After verification, they can deposit the prescribed fee through the university’s official website by July 3, failing which their admission will be cancelled.Prof. Ramavatar Sharma, convener of the Central Admission Committee at RU, said all students must create their ABC-ID before depositing the fee. “To view the list, students can go to admissions.univraj.org and click on Merit List or Merit by College List. Students will have to contact the concerned college for any kind of assistance related to admission,” said Sharma.Among the constituent colleges, Maharani College recorded the highest cut-off for the three/four-year BA (political science) programme in the general category at 98.4%. The cut-off stood at 98% for BA (History), 97% for BA (economics) and 96.6% for BA (English Literature).At University Rajasthan College, the highest cut-off was for the three/four-year BA pass course in the general category at 95.7%.In Commerce College, the cut-off for both the three/four-year BCom (accountancy-business studies) and three/four-year BCom (regular) programmes was 93% for the general category.At Maharaja College, the highest cut-off in the general category was for BSc (mathematics) at 96%, compared with 97.4% last year.Under the National Education Policy (NEP), students receive a bachelor’s degree after completing three years of study, while an honours degree is awarded only if they continue for the fourth year.
