Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court Wednesday deferred the hearing on a petition filed by Rajeev Pratap Singh concerning the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), posting the matter for further hearing on Aug 10.Cooperative registrar Samiti Sharma appeared before the division bench of Justice Indrajeet Singh and Justice Sandeep Taneja in compliance with the court’s earlier directions.On July 1, the high court suspended the ad hoc committee managing the RCA and appointed Bhaskar A Sawant, additional chief secretary in the state home department, as administrator.A bench of Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and Justice Maneesh Sharma had directed Sawant to conduct elections to the RCA managing committee within three months, announce the election schedule and place the details before the court by July 29.Compliance with the July 29 deadline also figured during Wednesday’s proceedings.
