Raj govt schools’ performance in National Achievement Survey surpasses national average
Raj govt releases leaflet showcasing information and achievements related to PM SHRI schools.

Jaipur: During a review meeting, chief secretary V Srinivas Monday said Rajasthan’s govt schools outperformed the national average in the National Achievement Survey (NAS) 2025 and ranked among the top 10 states across Classes 3, 6 and 9.Reviewing the progress of PM SHRI schools and the Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan (MSRA), Srinivas said the secretary, Govt of India, had praised the state’s performance in linguistic and mathematical proficiency among students of govt schools. Rajasthan’s scores in NAS 2025 exceeded the national average across all three grades.He also congratulated 11 govt schools that received national honours and lauded the state for securing third place in the Clean and Green School Rating (2025-26) instituted by the Union Ministry of Education.Srinivas said the Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan had been recognised as one of the state’s best practices in NITI Aayog’s School Education System in India 2026 report. He also released a leaflet highlighting achievements of PM SHRI schools.Directing officials to visit schools and monitor implementation at the grassroots level regularly, Srinivas stressed the need to ensure girls’ toilets and improve learning outcomes in PM SHRI schools. “It is essential to ensure a safe and inclusive environment alongside quality education,” he said.Additional chief secretary (School Education) Rajesh Yadav informed the meeting that 649 PM SHRI schools are operational in the state and are being developed as model institutions. Separate toilets for girls have been provided, while construction and repair works are underway.Yadav said teaching practices in govt schools are being strengthened in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He added that reform initiatives have been implemented in over 69,000 govt schools under MSRA since its launch on March 29, 2025.Officials said the campaign has led to improved student attendance, lower dropout rates and better examination results.
