Gurgaon: City is likely to see another spell of rain and thunderstorms over the next three days, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting isolated heavy rain along with lightning and gusty winds in Haryana till Sept 17.According to IMD’s weather bulletin issued on Tuesday, light to moderate rain is likely at a few places in Haryana on Sept 15, increasing to many places on Sept 16 and 17. Isolated heavy rain has also been forecast during the two days.The city recorded a maximum temperature of 31.5°C and a minimum of 21°C on Tuesday. The maximum was 1.4°C below normal, while the minimum was 3.5°C below normal. The minimum temperature in Gurgaon was also the lowest recorded in Haryana on Tuesday, according to IMD.The city had no rainfall recorded at the main Gurgaon station in the 24 hours ending 5 pm Tuesday. However, the IMD bulletin said heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Haryana during the period.The weather department has forecast thunderstorms and lightning, along with heavy rain at isolated places, in Haryana on Sept 15, 16 and 17. From Sept 18, only isolated rainfall is expected, with no weather warning issued. Dry conditions are forecast for Sept 21.IMD said the monsoon trough is currently passing through parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas before extending towards the northwest Bay of Bengal. A western disturbance is also influencing weather conditions over north India.Haryana recorded a maximum temperature of 36.2°C at Hisar on Tuesday, with the state’s average maximum temperature rising 0.8°C from the previous day but remaining near normal.
