‘It is always special performing in Delhi for my homies’“Maze aa rahe hain? Mujhe bhi aa rahe hain. Jab itne khoobsurat log baithe ho saamne, toh maze kaise nahin aayenge? Delhi is my hometown, yahan pe main badi huyi hoon. It’s always special performing here for my homies,” the singer said. Moving from a cover of Rabbi Shergill’s Tere Bin to her Haye Ri Duniya, she effortlessly switched between soulful melodies and energetic tracks. In a candid moment with fans, she said, “We should just be grateful for everything – that we’re living, we’re breathing. Ussi ko yaad rakh ke ek gaana gaate hain. It’s too short a life to not smile. Khush raho yaar, bahut kuch hai hamare paas. Aaj hass lo, kal ka nahin pata.”

Rain, bhangra and unplugged musicAs the singer belted out Jugni Ji, raindrops prompted some audience members to step away. “Barish ho rahi hai? Toh kya hua, pighal thodi jaoge. Rain dance hoga aaj. Are you ready to do some bhangra with me now? Kaise apne homies ko chhod ke chali jaun?” Rashmeet said, continuing the show with Dhol Jageeron Da. As the 10pm deadline for loud music approached, the singer’s mic was switched off. She then requested two extra minutes to perform an unplugged version of Jogi Naal, but her mic was cut off again, prompting the audience to sing along.

‘I wrote this album after a heartbreak’Dressed in a blingy black-and-white ensemble, Rashmeet was seen grooving to the beats. Sharing the making of her latest album, Parinda, Rashmeet said, “Maine yeh album banayi jab mera kisi ke saath ishq hua aur thoda time ishq raha aur phir gayab hone lag gaya phir mujhe khud se ishq ho gaya finally. This album is about the journey of falling in love with somebody to falling back in love with myself,” gaining loud cheers from the crowd.
