Railway gears up to manage over 25,000 NEET aspirants

Varanasi: Railway officials at stations in Varanasi have completed preparations to manage the crowd of around 25,000 aspirants scheduled to appear for the NEET examination on June 21.Varanasi Junction (Cantt railway station) station director Arpit Gupta said that additional staff are being deployed at platforms and entry and exit gates.Students from several districts, in fact, arrived in the city on Saturday for the examination.To strengthen security arrangements, RPF and GRP teams have been instructed to remain vigilant and assist in crowd management and queue regulation, while ensuring proper announcements and the operation of help counters.Special attention is being given to drinking water, cleanliness, seating arrangements and inquiry services for the convenience of candidates and their family members.For medical assistance, a team and first-aid facilities will be available on station premises.The railway administration has appealed to passengers to reach the station on time and follow instructions so that arrangements run smoothly.
