Chandigarh: With 22 undergraduate seats still vacant after two rounds of counselling, Panjab University (PU) has invited fresh applications through open counselling for its hotel management and tourism programmes for the 2026-27 academic session.According to the University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), 19 seats remain vacant in the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) course, while three seats are unfilled in the Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) programme.Admissions will be conducted strictly on a merit basis through open counselling. Candidates who have passed Class XII with at least 50% aggregate marks and studied English as a compulsory subject are eligible to apply.Application forms can be downloaded from the UIHTM website and submitted along with the required documents at the institute office.The last date to submit applications is July 8 (4 pm). The merit list will be displayed on July 10 by 4 pm, and physical open counselling will be held on July 14.University authorities have urged eligible candidates to complete the process within the stipulated schedule.
