Ahmedabad: Following a two-month delay, Pragnesh Patel was appointed as chairperson and Ankit Rathod as vice-chairperson of Ahmedabad Municipal School Board on Wednesday.The decision was finalized during a high-level meeting chaired by mayor Hitesh Barot. The new appointments follow the completion of outgoing chairman Sujay Mehta’s term.The meeting was attended by key AMC leadership, including the deputy mayor, standing committee chairperson, leader of the ruling party, chief whip, and senior civic officials, who formally congratulated the newly appointed office-bearers.The state govt has nominated Ahmedabad City district education officer Rohit Chaudhari as a govt member on the board, alongside Chirag Solanki and Bhavanisinhe Shekhawat as non-govt members. Other board members include Navin Patel, Nilay Shukla, Liladhar Khadke, Parth Trivedi, Niki Shah, Chandradeepsinh Vaghela, Nita Prajapati, Amrut Vyas, Nandini Pandya, and Sonal Patel.
