Mumbai: Three persons suffered fractures after a car collided with an autorickshaw and a two-wheeler in Andheri (E) on Thursday afternoon, police said.The accident occurred in the afternoon near J.B. Nagar Metro Station in Chakala. Police detained the driver and seized the car, and a case was being registered against him.According to the police, the driver claimed the car’s brakes failed, causing it to ram into an autorickshaw and an Activa scooter. The impact also triggered a chain-reaction collision involving two other motorcycles.Three people, two men and a woman, sustained injuries, most of them suspected to be fractures. They were rushed to nearby hospitals before police could record their details. Officials said their identities and medical condition were being verified.Police began an investigation to ascertain whether the accident was caused solely by a mechanical failure or if negligence was involved.
