PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah want to rule Tamil Nadu from Delhi: Rahul Gandhi

CHENNAI: Congress leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi flayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, saying that they both wanted to rule Tamil Nadu from Delhi. Rahul was in TN to campaign for Congress candidates and candidates of secular progressive alliance led by DMK. In his address in Ponneri in Tiruvallur district, Rahul said Modi and Amit Shah want a weak CM for Tamil Nadu. “Modi and Amit Shah want to rule Tamil Nadu from Delhi. They want a CM from Tamil Nadu who can take orders from Delhi. They want a compromised CM for TN. Henceforth, they had chosen AIADMK as their alliance partner,” Rahul said. He said that BJP & RSS are against Tamils. “BJP & RSS are waging a war on Tamil Nadu, its language and culture but won’t allow that to happen. BJP & RSS are ignorant. They don’t know who Tamils are. They don’t know what Tamil means to Tamil people. Brothers in DMK and INDIA bloc are protect Tamil from their assault,” Rahul said. This was his first campaign meeting for Rahul in TN for the assembly election and he had avoided mentioning the name of chief minister M K Stalin in his speech. Even when he went to Puducherry for campaigning on the same day of Stalin’s campaign, he didn’t meet Stalin and didn’t mention his name in his speech.He is set to campaign in Sholingur in Ranipet district and Thuraiyur in Trichy district later this day.
