Pink-clad women walk for breast cancer awareness
Around 350 women participated in the initiative

Ahmedabad: Members of the Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA) and several city-based organisations marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a walk along the Sabarmati Riverfront, dressed in pink saris to spread awareness about early detection and timely intervention. Around 350 women participated in the initiative, according to organisers. Cancer survivors also shared their experiences and encouraged others to prioritise regular screening and early diagnosis. “Cancer winners shared their journeys and motivated others. We will continue to engage with social causes,” said AMA president Dr Kalpita Dave.In another event, more than 2,500 people took part in Pink Run 2.0 organised by HCG Aastha Cancer Centre in Ahmedabad to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early diagnosis. The event featured 5km, 10km and 15km categories and began with sessions on self-examination, recognising early symptoms and seeking timely medical attention.
